Corinth Library Replacement Study

Johnson County Library has been exploring options for a potential new facility in Prairie Village, which could eventually replace the existing and outdated Corinth Library. The Library and the City of Prairie Village are currently partnering on a site design study that will help the Library determine whether moving the Corinth branch to a potential Harmon Park campus would be feasible. Corinth Library users and residents of the surrounding areas had opportunities to provide input into conceptual design options during the first half of 2024. Thank you to those who shared their thoughts!

On May 20, 2024, the project partners for the Prairie Village Community Center Campus presented the recommended site option to the Prairie Village City Council. During this meeting, the council requested additional information prior to proceeding with one site option. The project team is scheduled to return for a second presentation at the council meeting set for July 1, 2024.

The previously scheduled third and final public meeting has been postponed; the meeting has been cancelled for June 20, 2024.

Johnson County Library is continuing our current study of the existing Corinth site in addition to a potential Harmon Park location. Please continue to check back to this page or the Prairie Village website for updates.
